Speaking of Representing...
This is the first time we played Long Island in 2 years (except for the noisecore set with no guitar at Mikey's house in October). Bottom line, we're fuckin' back and ready. Me and Big Sal are doing pushups for this show. Grown thangs.
"When I call you "boi boi", know I meant it - that's what you can tell your' wife" - "Boi Boi". Buckshot Facelift, from upcoming new album.

The True Noisegore Misanthrope
- "A.I.D.S. Denialist" - A primitive, pitchshifted noiscore explosion which was a collaboration with the now deceased Philip Tarr (R.I.P.) (a boxer and noisecore artist from Canada).
- " Joy of Torture" - Another post office 4 track collaboration with fellow oldschool noise freak Steve Embryo. "Joy of Torture" sounds something like Mortician covering Gut (for whom the band is named) after a long day of drinking and butchering pigs.
-"Worse Than Ever" Adam takes on vocal duties in a grimy, raw hardcore band with some family members and his old friend, Brian.(Cavernous Sores). This is as blue collar and street level as it gets. Not for EMOs.
-"Wormclogged Blisters" Somebody forgot to tell Adam that its not 1993 and people don't put out this many tapes anymore, oh well - this one sounds like a shop vac trying to clean up a bucket of worms. Fuckin gross.
-"Cavernous Sores" - He's had this one going for a while now I think. Adam fucks up guitars while Brian plays live drums. Noisegore filth fest.
And that's just what he's been up to lately. If you really want to fuck with an underground noisecore tape label with extreme and offensive music that acts like it's stuck in a time warp, then go to:

But don't blame me when you scare yourself.

I know I joke around a lot and placed emphasis on Halloween and dead trees, but I just wanted to share a little reality as well.

Take a break for nature
Small, orange/reddish mushrooms on the path where I walk my dogs. My camera does them no justice.
I worked here for a few years when it was a farm (Biolich era) , now it is a nature trail / soccer field.
Death Metal and Grindcore is born in my soul right here.
Last jalapeno / chili harvest of the year. R.I.P. Arthur Lopez, Long Island hero.
My Mother tells me this is called "False Mallow", a deciduous weed for our area. I planted it in with my vegetables this year in hope that the flowers would attract bees for pollination.

Homegrown Long Island Powerviolence
Sorry I haven't been keeping this blog updated as much lately, but trust that I am doing my part for Metal behind the scenes every day. To keep you going until some of this new music I've been working on drops, here is a video by a short lived grind/hardcore band named "MIGRATION". I party with these guys and I can attest that this is real live Suffolk County, Long Island scumbag shit. The guy with the chainsaw does backups on the new Buckshot Facelift record. I think this music video is the only recording they ever made so enjoy.

While you were sleeping...
6/28/12 @ St. Vitus
Catbomb presents:
The Communion
Wake the Machines (Cali)
Radiation Blackbody
Grudges
Yeah, Paulo and I rolled out and supported the scene. So did about a dozen or so scene drifters, including big Andrew Hock himself, what a coincky-dink. Here's how shit went down:
-Grudges was awesome. Definite euro-grind LDOH,Nyctophobic mixed with powerviolence thing happening. Sweet hyperblasts. I'm looking forward to seeing these guys play for a bigger crowd.
-Radiation Blackbody. Respect. You guys should check that shit out, seriously. I'm going to see them next time they play. Fuck Yea Radiation Blackbody.
-Wake The Machines -Noisy noise grind. I think some of this was improvised maybe - these guys are A OK with me though because the drummer gave me a great deal on some fuckin cassettes! I'll post reviews and pictures of what I got when I have a chance.
-The Communion - Nick definitely stripped down to his boxers, whipped himself with a belt and mooned the crowd at several points. Joe was the only person in the house who managed to attend both this show, as well as the big Death/Gorguts tribute in Manhattan on the same night. Jimmy and Bill were cool as cucumbers, as usual.
Conclusion: The Communion wins in a narrow finish with Radiation Blackbody. Wake The Machines gets the merch award and Grudges are creeping on the comeup. Sorry boys, it's all about personality...

Maryland Slow Fest (formerly Maryland Deathfest) post
![]() |
"Famous Thai Shrimpcakes"
Big shout to "chicken suit guy", "Nocturnus shirt guy"," the grey twins", "Face tat", "short Antimo" and all the other people I don't know but who come back every year, just like me. I didn't see "customized fitted hat kid" or "Filipino Michael Jackson dancer" this year, you guys need to come back hard.
Here are the facts:
-Napalm Death were complete pros.
-Suffocation were complete bros. Made me proud to be from Long Island.
-Luisma from Haemmorhage = best frontman in goregrind now that Antimo's out of the game.
-Morbid Angel pretended the new album never happened and we were all so eager to play along.
- Mortuary Drape played the last set of the whole fest and got me so worked up I wished I could press resart.
-Andrew broke a string on stage.
- Jim cut his hair.
-Kevin Bacon's son sang a song with Nasum.
-Bloody Phoenix has two hot chicks singing for them.
-Backslider repped shit hard. Don't fuck with those little dudes.
-Anvil was fun, but what death metal band lost a spot so they could play?
-Macabre and Demigod should have played much later. I thought it was supposed to be a "Death" fest.
-Scotnick is gross.
- More people know Biolich now than the year we played.
-Tremont hotel = pleasure doing business with you
-Brain Campaign rushed the liquor store for 30 racks of budweiser right quick while crusties were critiquing ales.
- We listened and danced to a lot of Phil Collins this weekend. like a lot.
I love you, Maryland Deathfest, but if you don't step up your Death Metal and Goregrind game next year, I think we're through.

Shots Fired / Free Finnish Death Metal
I was just chillin outside, doing some totally pagan yard work, when all of a sudden the police helicopter swept my neighborhood up and down for nearly 40 minutes. Unfortunately, my camera is temporarily out of order and I couldn't capture images of the ghetto bird over my house, but this link will provide the explanation - a special Thanksgiving triple shooting 5 blocks from where I live - also right in back of the local Catholic Church. Newsday already has the scoop, with a shot of Suffolk County's finest taping off the block...Triple shooting in Huntington Station
Last night I saw the Huntington Holiday parade in town. It was the first time I saw the Guardian Angels walk the streets of Huntington....
......................................................................................................................................................................
Anyway, while I'm here, might as well hype some Finnish Death Metal... Because I'm totally necro, I'm marking the chaos by having a drink to Refusal's "Short on Ammo" demo, which I downloaded for free. You can to - they have all of their releases available on their website here :
Refusal (Finland)
In a nutshell, Refusal is raw and forceful. Somewhere between Extreme Noise Terror and Deranged with very little regard for subtlety - just like the Suffolk County Police. These guys would fit perfectly on one of those old Earache Records Grindcrusher compilations. A raging reality check in a world of harsh truths.
See? I don't give a fuck, I'll use anything as an excuse to hook you up with free death metal.
