Free BRUTAL TECH DEATH from Spain

In space, no one can hear you inhale growl.
Hellgate from Galicia, Spain are a horribly underexposed band that should blow up in due time with the right label behind them. They blast, they're technical, they're brutal as fuck and they've got their game down pretty tight. Lyrically they're all about space (ahem), which is sick. Not that you would understand a word of what's going on though - the vocals are varied and textured without ever leaving the range of a snarling toilet (compliment). Download the free demo so you can say that you already heard them when all the kids on the Origin message board find out about this and go apeshit.

Fuck the new Morbid Angel album. Seriously, fuck that.

They tricked the guy in the Carcass shirt into shaving his head before they became astronauts.
Want some professionally recorded, well written, well executed Florida style blackened Death Metal that rivals any big gun you care to mention? Want them to write songs about space? Want them to put it out for free download because Ron Vento (of Aurora Borealis) doesn't have shit to prove to anyone and he's just fuckin chill like that? No, you probably just want to speculate about Morbid Angels setlist at MDF this year on a message board or something. Or maybe you're fuckin chill like Ron Vento. Be like Ron.

90s Finnish psychadelic space death metal (not Demilich)

There is something about Finnish death metal of the 90s that is so special and dear to my heart. So many bands with their own unique sound, each bringing something different to the table. Though Winterwolf, Nerlich, Slugathor, Deathchain, and many more still keep the proud tradition alive, something about finding an old Finnish band that vanished into obscurity with even less of a historical echo than, say, far from household names Adramelech or Demilich, is for me what smoking a cuban cigar must be like for some rich guy. This is Paraxism, and There's nothing like them. This song is from 1996, but they date back to 1990.

Nocturnus

Ok, you always hear how the Norwegian black metal scene started rejecting American death metal because the guys in Florida dressed like skaters and rocked sweatsuits and sneakers. Peep this.

Ok? Not just the guitar and the drumstick-inverted cross, but my man right there has a mullet and a "Punisher War Journal" shirt with Spiderman on it. Not to mention metal fist on the left. The corpsepaint and swords and all that was hot but it just wasn't how they got down in florida in the late 80s/early 90s. Anyway, these metal bros are fuckin' NOCTURNUS, and in case you didn't know they changed the game for keeps big time when they threw keyboards and dual lead guitars all over satan and space on their classic Earache records debut album "The Key". I'll let them expound on some of the differences between the Florida and European scenes back in the day in this old video that mixes some very prophetic interview footage with live shots. This may be one of the few chances you ever get to watch a band with a drummer and keyboard player both doing death metal vocals.
